Having been a part of a blended family herself, Julie knows firsthand the complexities of family law and does not take lightly the trust clients place to be their voice and advocate as they navigate through the legal process.

Julie graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Then, she graduated cum laude from at Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in May 2015.

In law school, Julie balanced her coursework while also working full-time and serving as a leader in several law school organizations. She received the honor of having her case note published while serving as the Senior Articles Editor of the SMU Science and Technology Law Review. During law school, Julie clerked for Hon. Reed O’Connor, judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and for Hon. Lee Ann Dauphinot, justice of the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to joining the firm, Julie worked as a civil litigation attorney for a Dallas firm, getting a great deal of courtroom experience.

Even though Julie was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she got to Texas as soon as she could and has called Texas home since. Julie grew up in Central America and maintains a deeply rooted connection to her Latin heritage. Julie is a first-generation American and is fluent in Spanish.
