Lynne Milford takes a problem-solving mindset to family law by developing a customized solution-oriented approach to each particular family’s needs. Lynne has forged extensive partnerships with other professionals, including parenting experts, financial experts, or therapists, to address the unique issues that arise. Recognized for her compassion and integrity by clients, lawyers, and judges alike, Lynne brings a calming presence to the trauma of divorce and a voice of reason in discussing the new structure of the family after divorce.

Lynne believes strongly in the collaborative method of dispute resolution in family law matters because the process allows the opportunity to develop creative solutions outside the normal legal boundaries. She received her training by the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas in 2004 when the collaborative process was very new to Texas family law litigation. As a member of many statewide and national collaborative law groups, she is well-equipped to advise whether the collaborative process is the right fit for a client. “The negotiations concepts and communications skills I learned as a result of that training literally changed my life – my new skills had a clear positive effect on every relationship I had,” says Lynne.

Lynne graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with an honors degree in public service in 1985. She graduated with the juris doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1989. She has practiced law in Tarrant County for her entire career. She is a member of the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, where she has served on the board of directors. She is also a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Further, as a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, she has had the honor of serving as an officer and on the board of directors for the Texas chapter.
