Kassie Hines understands how to assess and manage litigation conflict from all angles. Raised by a tough litigator mother, Kassie learned her way around a family law courtroom from a very young age. After experiencing divorce and remarriage of her parents, she cultivated a level-headed approach to navigate complex family dynamics. Kassie uses this life experience to be a fierce, empathetic, and loyal advocate for her clients in their difficult times.

Kassie graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and a minor in Spanish then started working in the legal field as a paralegal for over 12 years. In 2017, Kassie set on the path to achieve her life’s purpose when she enrolled in University of North Texas Dallas College of Law. Even though she worked full-time as a paralegal while attending law school, Kassie consistently made the Dean’s List every semester. She served in leadership positions in various law student organizations including the Women in Law Student Association, OUTLaw, and Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. Lambda Legal gave Kassie her first real-world lawyer experience in a prestigious extern position working on impact litigation nationwide for the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community. She graduated with honors cum laude.

Now, Kassie focuses her legal practice on real-world family law issues that impact families of all backgrounds. She utilizes her vast experience in business and commercial litigation to represent spouses in divorce with marital property issues such as closely held businesses, bankruptcy, or real estate. Additionally, she advises clients in need of asset protection advice with premarital and post-marital agreements. When feuding parties cannot agree on how to handle assets during a divorce, Kassie acts as a neutral receiver to assist family court judges in reaching resolution. Kassie’s inclusive practice includes representation of same-sex spouses and parents in their LGBTQ+ family law litigation as well.
